The D8720 Modbus digital output module contains fifteen isolated digital outputs for controlling solid-state relays and annunciators. Each digital output can be pulled-up to +30Vdc and sink up to 100mA per without damage.
The D8720 series digital output module contains a user-programmable communications watchdog timer. The watchdog timer can be used to force the digital outputs to a known “safe” condition in the event of a communications lost to the module. The “safe” condition value can be specified in the Initial Value register.
All digital data values are transmitted to a host computer using the Modbus RTU serial protocol via the USB virtual serial port connection.
The D8720 USB digital output modules can be mounted on a DIN-rail using the MK-1 mounting kit.
