The D3000 series digital to analog output modules contain an isolated 12-bit digital to analog converter that is scaled to generate DC voltage or current signals commonly used in the process control, production test and motion control industries. Six different voltage output ranges and two different current output ranges are available. Simple ASCII character commands are used to control the 12-bit digital to analog converter. The commands are received from a host computer through either an RS-232 or RS-485 serial port.
The D3000 includes three discrete digital inputs that can accept direct contact closures from switches or relays. Making them ideal for monitoring On/Off signals like cabinet door status or manually controlling the analog output signal at a remote module location.
The D3000 series modules are cost effective solution for control applications that require a simple step function output. The analog output signals can be used to control annunciators, actuators or other hardware that requires a control input signal. Users requiring more advanced features may consider the D4000 series.
The D4000 series advanced features include user-scalable input data values, communications watchdog timer, user-programmable power-up starting value, analog output slew-rate control and true analog readback.
The D3000 series DAC modules can also be mounted on a DIN-Rail using the MK-1 mounting kit.
