The D1000 analog input modules measure DC voltage and current, thermocouples, RTD’s, thermistors, load cells and frequency. The analog input modules provide an isolated 15-bit measurement, analog to digital conversion and a linearized data output scaled into engineering units. The scaled data values are communicated using either RS-232 or RS-485.
The analog input modules provide some discrete digital inputs, discrete digital outputs and an events counter for counting low speed pulses. The digital outputs can also be configured as HI/LO alarm outputs. The amount of discrete digital I/O in each module is dependent upon the sensor input type and number of sensor connections.
The D1701 and D1702 digital I/O modules contain seven discrete digital inputs, eight digital outputs and communicate using either RS-232 or RS-485. The digital outputs can be used to control solid-state relays and annunciators. They can be pulled up to +30Vdc and sink up to 30mA with out damage. The discrete digital inputs can accept +/-30Vdc signals without damage. The discrete switching levels are <+1Vdc = logic “0”, >+3.5Vdc equals a Logic “1”.
